When Uniqlo first arrived in Antwerp, everyone around me was super hyped and I was like.... unsure what the big deal was all about? I mean sure, from the pictures and from walking by I could see that Uniqlo had a big, beautifully designed store, but I just didn't really get what was so amazing about the clothes. To me it all just looked like lackluster basics, not really stylish, nothing to set it apart from the stores we already had in Antwerp. Boy, was I wrong.

I first walked into the store two weeks ago, after receiving this black seersucker sundress: a press sample that stole my heart the moment I put it on. The cut, the fabric, the eye for detail: all of it immediately spoke of a level of quality that other highstreet stores simply can't (or don't try to) compete with. For example, in this style of dress I generally have to size up because the cut to tends to be too tight in the upper back/chest area, and to pinch my armpit fat (let's be real here). In this dress, a size small fits comfortably in that elegant way that hangs from the body without being too baggy. I was sufficiently impressed by the dress to want to check out the rest of the Lemaire collab, and the rest was history from the moment I walked into Uniqlo. In fact, I bought another dress and wishlisted about five other things. Turns out, Uniqlo is pretty much the perfect destination for the type of understated chic yet fresh pieces anyone could build their work wardrobe around.

I also really like how their ads are really natural, not too styled or glamorized, and how Uniqlo markets a lot of their pieces in a unisex way.

Tl;dr: I'm feeling it. Are you? Oh, and I was not paid to write this post!
